Public Parking

We have arranged for Public Parking at the race site. The Town of Didsbury has graciously provided a location and facilitated the snow removal to provide a public parking lot immediately south of the race site. Parking attendants will be on site to assist spectators with safely parking their vehicle and directing foot traffic to the race site. See the notes below regarding spectator etiquette.

The map below indicates the location of the Public Parking Lot. Access to the parking lot is off Township Road 31.2A (15th Ave.) immediately across from the race site entrance.

Rosebud Run Public Parking Lot

The very limited parking areas at the race site itself are reserved for musher and volunteer parking. No public parking is allowed at the race site. If you attempt to drive your own vehicle to the race site, you will be turned away by our security personnel. Only specially marked vehicles will be allowed access to the race site.

Spectator Etiquette

  • Do not walk on or across the race trail.
  • Do not bring pets to the race site.
  • Before approaching a sled dog, ask permission from the owner/handler.
  • Race Officials are identified by safety vests; they will be happy to answer your questions.
  • Do not wander beyond the "Authorized Personnel Only" boundaries.
  • Maintain control of your children; dog teams are powerful and may turn unexpectedly.
  • Obey directions given to you by Race Officials.
  • The races are located on privately owned land. You are a guest at the race site.
  • The public parking area is located on privately owned land. You are a guest in the public parking area.
  • If you are a photographer wishing to take pictures along the race trail, see Photographer accreditation.
  • For more information see Spectator Tips.

Guest Photographer Acceditation
The Rosebud Run Society has experienced, professional Official Photographers at the races. These people are identifiable by the "Race Photographer" vest they are wearing. We invite all photographers to exercise their photographic pursuits at the races within the open area of the race site.

Photographers (amateur, experience and professional) wishing to take photographs along the race trail beyond the "Authorized Personnel Only" boundaries must obtain "Guest Photographer" accreditation. Only five (5) "Guest Photographer" vests will be issued at any given time on a first-come first-served basis. To be accredited as a "Guest Photographer" the photographer must:

  • Register with the Race Manager via email prior to the races. A Photographer Orientation Package will be emailed to registrants with instructions.
  • Register with the Office Clerk at the Race Office upon arrival at the race site. A "Guest Photographer" vest will be issued, pending allowable maximums, following receipt of a $20 refundable deposit.
Only Race Officials and Guest Photographers appropriately identified with an officially recognized race vest will be allowed beyond the "Authorized Personnel Only" boundaries. The races are located on privately owned land. You are a guest at the race site.
